A member of the Philippine Bar with approximately 15 years legal experience, particularly in tax, corporate, investments and trade law, energy and environmental law, competition law, and public policy.
Lynn advises clients on the tax implications of their transactions, in protesting tax assessments and representing them before the Court of Tax Appeals. She also provides assistance in company registrations with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and other relevant government agencies, including with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), as well as corporate housekeeping services. In addition, she assists clients in contract drafting, review and negotiations.
Lynn provides advice to private firms, industry groups, and the government on international trade law, particularly on matters covered by WTO Law and Free Trade Agreements in the Asia Pacific Region. As senior consultant to the Ateneo de Manila University, she also provides technical assistance to the policy and institutional reform initiatives of the Department of Finance (DOF), in relation to customs and trade.
Lynn has published policy papers and articles on international trade, trade and environment, and competition law and policy. She was formerly a lecturer of International Economic Law at the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law, teaching competition law and regional economic integration.
Lynn was formerly the Associate Director of the Asian Institute of Management Policy Center (now the AIM Rizalino S. Navarro Policy Center for Competitiveness) where she worked on public policy and managed or supervised policy projects of the Center, including on competitiveness, competition and energy.
Lynn was senior trade specialist at TA Trade Advisory Group, Inc., a senior attorney at Puyat Jacinto and Santos Law Offices, junior attorney at Yorac Arroyo Chua Caedo and Coronel Law Offices and a law clerk at the Philippine Supreme Court, Office of Associate Justice Vicente V. Mendoza (ret.). She is also a Philippine Certified Public Accountant and was an auditor at Isla Lipana and Co. (formerly Joaquin Cunanan and Co.), Price Waterhouse Coopers.
Lynn has a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MALD) degree from the Fletcher School, Tufts University, Medford, MA with focus on international trade, investments and environmental law and policy. At Fletcher, she was teaching assistant to Prof. Carsten Kowalzcyk, Associate Professor of International Economics (course: International Trade and Investment), Global Master of Arts Program (GMAP) and interned at the Foundation for International Environmental Law and Development (FIELD), London, UK.
She has a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the Philippines, College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree from the University of Nueva Caceres, graduating cum laude.
